The last twelve months with Alan on the leadership program have given me great insights about myself and others, as well as the wisdom to look beneath the surface to understand some of the real causes of the issues I come across when dealing with people. As I observe what drives certain behaviours, this effectively empowers me to address the cause, and attain a more desirable outcome. There are many more take-aways from the program, but I believe the above sums up some of the benefits we have enjoyed from the program and which I believe are commonly shared by the other delegates.

The course content is on point and covers various aspects of leadership and self-discovery while subtly repeating key themes. Our group has grown incredibly close, and we feel energised and equipped to form part of a strong team to take Citadel through its next chapters.

Alan is brilliant at facilitating and has a keen eye and ear for each individual’s nuanced requirements and unique personality profile when it comes to guiding conversation for everyone to achieve personal growth through this process and embrace diverse views and beliefs. Over and above this, Alan’s Programme offers great value from a content perspective through the insight Alan has gained from a diverse client base internationally but also from his extensive personal experience.

Alan’s course is very different. This is not a course that one merely works through the presentation and source material and then files it on a shelf somewhere. Alan creates an environment of modern-day cutting-edge leadership styles, which allow a person to better understand themselves and the way they lead in the workplace, in the home and in the greater society. Reflection, self-awareness, self-esteem and understanding one’s responses to situations are integral skills which Alan continues to question and challenge, all along illustrating practical examples to endorse the thinking. This has encouraged me to question my personal and corporate leadership style.

The personal growth over the past year has been quite astounding and we will continue to build on what Alan has taught us.
